MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Sets up tables and working area as per Hotel standards and procedures before and after meals;
Welcomes and greets guests promptly and politely;
Presents menu and proposes dishes and drinks;
Takes, confirms and processes orders according to Hotel standards and procedures;
Serves wine, drink, food and condiments as per order and Hotel service standards;
Services table and attends to guest’s need;
Maintains and upkeeps cleanliness of working areas and all equipment and material.

QUALIFICATIONS AND PROFILE

School Certificate or equivalent;
A NC Level 3 in Restaurant & Bar Services from Mauritius Institute of Training and Development or equivalent;
Previous working experience would be an advantage;
Good communication and organisational skills;
Should possess a pleasant and outgoing personality;
Able and willing to perform odd hours of work including Sundays, public holidays and cyclonic days;
Fluent in written and spoken English and French;
Knowledge of a third language will be an advantage.
