Trainee Production Officer

Performs daily routine tasks for the production and other departments, as directed by more senior production department staff.

1)     To fully assist the Production Manager in managing and leading the team of Batching operators and other Factory Employees of the Production and Extruder Departments.

2)     To plan, coordinate, control, report and keep records of the overall round the clock activities at the levels of the Extruder and small packer unit.

3)     To report to your Manager any problem, incident, accident and/or unusual situation which may occur in the course of your duties while supervising the Production and Extruder operations

4)     To be fully acquainted and knowledgeable of the Quality Assurance Manual wherein all the systems and procedures concerning the Production activities are laid down and the necessary forms give for use.

5)     To collect, regularly or as per schedule, samples of feed and remit same to appropriate parties

6)     To perform physical stock take and stock re-evaluation

7)     To make minor repairs as and when required on the Extruder Machines

9)     To be fully acquainted and knowledgeable of the Quality Assurance Manual wherein all the Systems and Procedures concerning the Production Activities are laid down and the necessary forms given for use.

10)  Ensure that a proper handing over has been done from the previous shift and also to the next shift.

11)  Fill in the Production/ Maintenance Logbook updated with precise details and keep same updated as events happen.

12)  Use the Logbook to communicate and pass on the necessary information and intervention to all concerned.

13)  Check the presence of the Team on shift and signal any absence / lateness to the Production Supervisor.

14)  Check the status of the Daily Production Plan for completion and / or items to be carried over to the next shift.
