Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Technical Operations Supervisor to oversee the efficient and effective functioning of our Service Centre for consumer electronics products. As the Technical Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing a team of technicians, ensuring high-quality technical support and repair services, and maintaining a smooth workflow. This role requires strong technical expertise, exceptional leadership abilities, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Management:

  • Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of technicians, providing guidance, feedback, and support.
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities to technicians, ensuring optimal utilization of resources.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and address any performance or disciplinary issues promptly

Technical Support and Repair:

  • Oversee the troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of consumer electronics products, such as smartphones, tablets, laptops, and home appliances.
  • Ensure that technical support services are delivered efficiently and effectively, meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to streamline repair processes and maximize productivity.
  • Stay updated with the latest technology trends and product knowledge to provide accurate and up-to-date technical guidance to the team.

Workflow and Resource Management:

  • Monitor and manage the daily workflow of your assigned department within the Service Centre, ensuring timely completion of repairs and support requests.
  • Coordinate with other departments, such as customer service and inventory management, to optimize overall operations.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels of spare parts and equipment, and collaborate with procurement to ensure availability.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and best practices to create a secure working environment.

 Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., electronics, electrical engineering) or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven experience 2 years in a similar technical supervisory role, preferably in a consumer electronics service centre.
  • Strong technical knowledge and expertise in troubleshooting and repairing consumer electronics products.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers, team members, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify process improvements and optimize resource allocation.
  • Proficiency in using service management software and tools for tracking and reporting purposes.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations related to consumer electronics repair.
