Lead and administer all the different categories of stores from requisitioning, receiving, storing, stock management and distribution.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the Stores’ management activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, directing work of subordinate employees, and ensuring that best practices are adhered to for efficient running of operations;
  • Maintain a catalogue of stock items and ascertain their availability in stock at all times;
  • Issue timely requisitions to Procurement BU for stock replenishment and follow subsequent orders with suppliers;
  • Set up ‘Perpetual Stock Taking’ exercises for all categories of stores, and take appropriate/corrective actions on the outcomes thereof;
  • Establish processes to improve overall efficiency and mitigate the risk of errors/omissions impacting internal customers and suppliers;
  • Ascertain that all items received from suppliers are of quality standard acceptable to the Bank;
  • Attend to queries of internal customers and suppliers and ensure that problems, if any, are timely fixed;
  • Manage the materials/items within stores such that the total cost of maintaining these remains optimum and prepare relevant quarterly reports;         
  • Ascertain that up to date knowledge and understanding of policies, procedures, methodology, laws and regulations are maintained and applied in the daily assignments.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree in Inventory/Supply Chain Management or equivalent;
  • A minimum of 5 years working experience with at least 3 years in a store environment.

Other Requirements:

  • Strong leadership skills;                
  • Excellent written, oral and verbal communication skills;                
  • Knowledge of documents management system and stock management application.
