Providing professional treatments and services for guests, including but not limited to body and facial treatments, massages, home care advice and tour of the facilities.

 

-        Provides treatments and assisting guests, upselling products and rebooking of treatments.

-         Maintains the Spa facility and providing lateral service .

-         Attends Hilton Trainings as required and attending monthly departmental meetings

-          Assists with inventory and training as requested by Spa Manager

-          Performs hair care services such as cutting, styling, coloring, highlights, and updos.

-          Utilizes product efficiently.

-          Maintains product inventory and salon cleanliness.

-          Provides knowledge to the guest for continued hair care utilizing products sold at the Spa.

-          Performs shampoo treatments and various scalp massage techniques.

Provides consultation and advice guests if/when required, especially with providing a colour services

 

SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.

  • To ensure high standards of cleanliness in the department
  • To report any maintenance issues to Spa Supervisor
  • Assist in all areas of the operations as requested by the Spa Manager
  • To be fully aware of current and future services offered by the resort
  • To ensure that departmental operation budget is adhered to, maximizing revenues and minimizing expenses
  • To remain up to date with local and international trends in the health and leisure services through media.

Metrics

  • Contributes actively and ensures to reach financial objectives set by as per attached. Financial objectives are defined according to hotel business plan. Occupancy ratio may alter financial objectives but only on a pro rata basis.
  • Works towards reaching 85% guest satisfaction over the year
  • Works towards reaching 3% capture rate of guests in house on a daily, monthly and on a yearly basis, encouraging but not imposing guests to discover various treatments
  • Masters all treatments allotted as per list attached
  • Masters the composition of all products used and sold at the spa
  • Ensures confidentiality and loyalty towards Hotel Managers and Spa Manager

 

 

 

JOB IN DETAIL

 

  • Assist to trainings and apply scrupulously skills acquired by maintaining standards.
  • Under the guidance of the Spa Manager and within the limits of the Hotel Policies, the Therapist should ensure that all operational procedures, codes of conduct and standards of treatments, services and appearance, set down by the Spa Management are adhered to and are complied with by all staff.
  • Provides consistent professional spa massage, beauty treatments (either charged or complimentary) compliant with spa protocols and accepted documentation practices.
  • Ensures that all spa duties and procedures are carried out in line with the hotel service standards and policy, with high standards of personal appearance, grooming, personal hygiene, correct uniform and name badge as outlined in hotel rules.
  • Upholds the standards of hygiene and sanitization as directed by spa policies and procedures.
  • Ensures that all treatments given to guests are at all times up to standard set up by Hotel and Spa Manager.
    • Maintains personal knowledge by completing in-house training and workbooks within deadline.
    • Be involved and contribute at team meetings;
    • Maintains a positive attitude towards Hotel Guests, Hotel Managers, Spa Manager and all Spa Team;
    • Give accurate information to guests concerning all spa and hotel activities and services.
    • Ensures a calm and serene atmosphere in all areas of the spa, particularly at spa reception and ensures that no team member ever raises his/her voice at the spa reception and in any other areas of the spa.
    • Avoids and discourages all forms of gossiping
      • Ensures that cabins and areas allotted are clean and tidy, at all times. Perfumes, ambience (including temperature and lighting) and safety of the allotted area must be ensured.
      • Therapist must conduct regular checks in areas allotted and do the needful whenever needed.
      • Assist in maintaining a relaxing, appropriate style and volume of entertainment in treatment rooms.
      • Deal with all enquiries in a professional and courteous manner, in person
      • Deliver excellent customer service, at all times including answering the telephone, welcoming guests, accompanying guests to changing rooms and spa facilities, accompanying guests to cabins and relaxing areas, bringing tea, juice or water to guests and others.
      • Promote and upsell all spa products, services and activities.
      • Fulfill all reasonable requests from guests to ensure their comfort, satisfaction and safety.
      • Provide reports on time, as required
      • Always adhere to all company policies and procedures and licensing laws.
      • Carry out administrative requirements as directed.
      • Is creative and has the ability to deal with complaints effectively and promptly.
      • Maintains in good sate all company assets, equipment and materials at all times and reports any damaged or lost items.
      • Contributes in reducing wastage, respect your equipment, linen and work in an economical manner.
        • Is involved in the safe working environment of the Spa department and lives the Hilton values.
        • Keeps his/her working area perfectly clean and tidy at all time.
        • May be called upon at times to perform other related tasks not specifically included in this description/
  • Ensures the smooth running of the department at all times and maintains a high standard of treatments and motivation within the team.
  • Report any maintenance issues immediately to Assistant Spa Manager, Head Therapist or Spa Manager about any faulty equipment, including all furniture and fittings and equipment and do the follow up.
  • Identifying guest’s requirements, cutting and trimming hair, offering beauty advice, recommending hair products, adhering to hygiene rules, and sanitizing tools and equipment.
  • Skills like knowledge of nail technology, manicuring skills, pedicuring skills, nail extension skills and other nail treatment skills.
