Senior Internal Control Officer (2410-SICOF)

Our client in the Property sector is seeking to recruit a Senior Internal Control Officer. The job incumbent will carry out investigations of an advanced nature and provide guidance to the Internal Control Officer.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out investigation of an advanced nature requiring extensive knowledge of all direct and allied factors to the problem considering company's financial and economic policy and submit comprehensive reports containing clear practical solutions to the matters under inquiry.
• Perform audit duties of a complex nature related to the organization studies and management reviews.
• Serve as the lead for fieldwork in the capacity of an auditor in charge.
• Analyse the findings of the Internal Control Officer where necessary and conduct further investigation to ensure full audit coverage.
• Guide the Internal Control Officer in the preparation of audit working paper files.
• Compile, assign testing procedures to the Internal Control Officer and provide direction, support and guidance to the Internal Control Officer and to help ensure adequate execution of the assigned audit steps.
• Advise on improvement to existing accounting and control systems and assists where necessary in the financial management of the organisation.
• Assist in the framing of the internal Audit Programme.
• To investigate into management accounting and management information systems with a view to detecting inadequacies and weaknesses and proposing remedial measures.

Profile:

• Successfully completed all papers of Fundamentals (knowledge) and Fundamentals (Skills) of the ACCA, Or
• A degree in Accounting or Finance, Or
• An alternative qualification acceptable to the Board.
• At least 6 to 8 years' experience in Auditing Works.
• Be computer literate and conversant in spreadsheet and other accounting packages.
