 Our client is looking for a Sage Functional Analyst

Position overview

Our client has initiated an ambitious transformation plan with the objective of redesigning and streamlining its accounting and finance processes. In this context, they are looking for a Sage functional analyst.

Your role will be to act as a subject matter expert, assisting the group in all Sage related projects, including but not limited to: techno-functional specifications, solution deployment, testing, maintenance and user support. This position will report to the group Finance Transformation Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Sage Subject-matter expert: Participate in the review of business processes and Sage integration challenges
  • Identify opportunities for Sage process improvement, automation, and standardization
  • Translate those opportunities into techno-functional solutions
  • Stay updated with Sage trends and best practices
  • Sage deployment, testing & maintenance: Deploy Sage to additional group entities
  • Perform functional configuration in Sage (workflows, user access management, reportings, automate   / FTP script, etc.)
  • Deploy & integrate cross functional modules: purchase, assets, debt, consolidation, inventory,
  • Collaborate with technical teams (architect, developers, etc.) whenever required
  • New interfaces: assists in data migration and fields mapping from legacy to Sage
  • Mornitor & execute testing plan with key users
  • Monitor interface data integrity between legacy systems and Sage
  • Sage support / user community
  • Assist on daily basis the business users with the Sage functionalities
  • Promote Sage best practices / ensures that Sage is used up to its full potential
  • Develops and conducts end-user training of Sage business functions
  • Maintain a comprehensive set of Sage user manuals
  • Assist during IT audit
  • Other : Extending similar functions & capabilities to other group tools (Yooz, Spendesk, etc.)

Requirements / desired skills

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration in Science or an IT-related discipline
  • 5+ years experience in ERP configuration, integration and interface techniques (ideally Sage but not limited to)
  • Proven track record in project management
  • External consultancy background preferred
  • Experience in working within multinational companies
  • Solutions-focused approach
  • Experience of working with agile methodology
  • Knowledge of Jira tool would be a plus
  • Fluent in English and French
