    Which task can you expect?

    The purpose of this role is to provide an effective, efficient and accurate payroll service to our customers under the governance of SD Worx’s Quality Management System.

    ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. Effectively plan and manage own workload, managing, servicing, and delivering customer payrolls to agreed deadlines.
    2. Participate in team huddles to ensure risks and issues are highlighted and followed through to closure.
    3. Identify opportunities to advise and assist other team members, including cover for other team members as and when required.
    4. Validate and input all data received to agreed SLAs.
    5. Check input data and make all relevant corrections before the live run.
    6. Handle routine, non-routine and complex customer queries regarding payroll and HR related issues, including liaising with both internal and external contacts.
    7. Manage all aspects of Tax Year end processing for customers.
    8. Communicate effectively to customers (internal & external).
    9. Manage and support the customer in the processing of their payrolls to ensure payments/reports to employees are made accurately and on time.
    10. Provision and delivery of their performance statistics, including root cause to the Team Manager to meet reporting requirements.
    11. Support the Team Manager in creating the RCA documentation.
    12. Recognise and promote opportunities for Added Value Services.
    13. Compliance with statutory regulations and provide guidance to customer and colleagues.
    14. Demonstrate good knowledge of legislation and products.
    15. Maintain Standard Operating Processes and update with changes.
    16. Take responsibility for own personal development plan in line with Company objectives and values.

    KNOWLEDGE, TECHNICAL SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

    Essential:

    1. Minimum 2 years UK payroll experience
    2. Attention to detail with the ability to analyse data
    3. Demonstrable customer service skills via telephone, and other forms of communication
    4. Demonstrable knowledge of PC literacy and software usage ideally including Word and Excel
    5. High level knowledge of payroll legislation, including Tax, NI, SSP and SMP
    6. Time and workload management
    7. Demonstrate the ability to identify risks, issues, and problems proactively and timely.
    8. Critical thinking and problem solving
