Our client in the medical sector is looking for a Paramedical Secretary, full-time position based in Curepipe.
Job Summary
The Paramedical Secretary will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the
Centre.
There is a team of health professionals including Occupational Therapist, Speech Therapist, Psychologist and Special Educator.
The Secretary will be responsible for providing administrative support to paramedical staffs, managing patient appointments, maintaining paramedical records, and facilitating communication between patients and healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
-Greet and assist patients in person and over the phone;
-Schedule patient appointments and manage the appointment calendar efficiently;
-Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and personal information;
-Assist paramedical staffs with administrative tasks such as making photocopies, managing petty cash, prepare invoices, pay utility bills and do bank transactions of the centre;
-Handle payments;
-Ensure compliance with patient confidentiality and data protection regulations;
-Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers as necessary;
-Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned;
-Conduct such other cognate duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications
-School certificate/High school certificate or secretarial diploma or equivalent;
-Proven experience in a similar administrative role, preferably in a healthcare setting is a plus;
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in French, English and Creole;
-Strong organizational and multitasking abilities;
-Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office and any experience in using electronic paramedical record systems is a plus;
-Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
-Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
