ENL Agri Limited is currently looking for a dedicated Operations Executive – Plant Nursery & Forest Rehabilitation to join the team on a contract of determinate duration for 2 years to manage & oversee a project of Plant Nursery & Forest Rehabilitation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the production of endemic plants at the MDA plant nursery, ensuring consistent quality and operational efficiency in line with EcoHaven project objectives.
- Lead and manage a dedicated team of employees to achieve company goals, including daily task planning, execution, and adherence to safety protocols.
- Coordinate all aspects of forest rehabilitation activities, including weeding, fence installation, endemic plant transplantation, and signage deployment.
- Prepare and deliver comprehensive ad-hoc reports, manage projects, and assist in budget drafting and compliance with regulations.
- Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including researchers, environmentalists, and government agencies, to execute conservation initiatives effectively.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize resource utilization, minimize wastage, and improve operational efficiency.
- Conduct regular inspections and assessments of nursery and forest sites to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor and track project progress, milestones, and outcomes to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
- Act as a liaison between internal departments, external partners, and regulatory authorities to facilitate communication and coordination of activities.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in plant nursery management and forest rehabilitation.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Recognized qualification in agriculture or a related field.
- Previous experience in plant nursery management, forest rehabilitation, or similar roles is advantageous.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Fluency in English and French.
- Technical skills, critical thinking abilities, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
