Ti Pouce is recruiting a Nursery Manager with prior experience in managing a nursery, who will plan, direct and coordinate the activities and operations of Ti Pouce.

 

The Manager will ensure that the nursery operates to the highest standards, implement essential policies and procedures, ensure that the best possible environment and care are provided to the young children aged from 3 months to 3 years old.

Main Duties: 

  • Responsible for and oversee the day-to-day management, staffing, organisation and smooth running of the Nursery.
  • Responsible to provide and maintain a clean environment that is safe and without risks to health.
  • Ensure at all times that high standards of care and education are provided to the children in accordance with statutory requirements.
  • Accountable and responsible for the day-to-day operations and administration of the nursery.
  • Ensure adequate day-to-day staffing and ensure that adequate equipment, toys and other pedagogical items are available to meet the needs of the children.
  • Ensure and promote interaction and effective communication and interpersonal relations within the team.
  • Encourage children's creative development through activities to promote physical, mental and social development, such as games, arts and crafts, music and storytelling.
  • Create & design programmes and activities that stimulate each child’s social, emotional, physical, intellectual, language and creative development.

Qualifications, Skills, Experience: 

  • Certificate or Diploma in Early Childhood Development from an institution recognised by the Child Development Unit.
  • A minimum of 5 years prior experience in a similar position.
  • Computer literate, proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Displays a good-natured, cooperative attitude, care for others and friendly with children;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, fluent in English and French (written and oral)
  • Dynamic and Proactive individual.
  • Excellent interpersonal, administration and communication skills.
  • Able to operate with the highest levels of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
