Network Security Specialist

UserTech has an exciting opportunity for a Network Security Specialist.

This job position will require the ideal candidate to possess the analytical ability to implement and work in dynamic customer environments while actively developing positive Customer experiences in the field of Cybersecurity, Networking and Compliance.

You will work in a non-siloed environment, supporting our Next-Gen Solutions. This is a key opportunity for someone with industry and technology expertise in designing and implementing host-based, network-based and SaaS-based solutions to solve some of the most challenging security and IT compliance requirements.

You will also actively participate in technical engagements from pre-sales inception through Proof-of-Concept and implementation delivery for our enterprise customers. 

The duties related to this job proposal for you to make an impact:

• Understand customer requirements and develop statements of work and designs around our technologies.
• Professional Services deliverables including implementation of our solutions and managing go-live processes.
• Contribute to building and responding to customer RFPs/RFI
• Achieve relevant training and maintain certifications in accordance with focus areas.
• Provide knowledge transfer to ensure our customer success delivery.
• Lead technical review sessions to better understand customer ongoing business and technical needs.
• Conduct in-house testing of our proposed technologies.
• Recreate customer network issues in a dedicated lab environment (as needed).
• Attend to support request via our SLA based ticketing system.
• Be comfortable with speaking directly to customers and understand methods for customer de-escalation.
• Document customer communication and recurring technical issues to support product quality.
• Track and provide fault isolation and root cause analysis for technical issues.
• Participation in on-call duties
• Complete special projects as assigned.

Technical Skills

• Degree in IT/Cybersecurity/Computer Science
• 2 – 3 years’ experience in the related field. 
• Good understanding of TCP/IP and HTTP/SSL protocols
• Knowledge of networking industry, products, and protocols
• Knowledge in enterprise security technologies & products (NGFW, WAF, Endpoint, Email, Content Security)
• Experience with wired and wireless packet capture/analysis tools
• Knowledge of Virtualization technologies such as VMware
• Proficient in a variety of platforms, including Windows, Mac, and Linux.
