Job Description and Specification

  • Coordinate and supervise the daily Food & Beverage operations.
  • Assist the Food & Beverage Manager and the Assistant Food & Beverage Manager in conducting frequent spot checks in order to ascertain that work practices comply with the standard operating procedures of the Food & Beverage department.    
  • Need to do billing.
  • Need to ensure the key is properly kept.
  • Daily routine to check occupied, vacant dirty, departure, vacant clean room
  • To check expired date to avoid complain.
  • Lost and found to report to head house keeper and security.
  • Ensure rotation of all mini-bar products.
  • Properly complete, maintain and track inventory in assigned storerooms.
  • Communicate effectively with Mini-Bar Vending Supervisor any issues and/or concerns.
  • Ensure all duties found in the refreshment center inspection/attendant evaluation checklist are followed including completing assigned floors, cleanliness of assigned mini-bars, menus are present, inventory is complete, and refill reports are accurately filled out.
  • Display appropriate two-way radio etiquette at all times.
  • Report all mini-bar concerns to management including any guest issues.
  • Perform any other duties deemed necessary for the success of the department.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Knowledge of Point of sale (POS) systems, Handheld POS, inventory and store requisition software and reporting tools.
  • Previous experience in hotel industry.

Requirements

  • At least School Certificate or equivalent qualifications.
  • National Certificate Level 4 in Restaurant and Bar Operations or equivalent qualifications.
  • Tertiary education at Advanced Certificate or Diploma level majoring in Hospitality Management from a recognized institution or equivalent qualifications.

  • A minimum of 2 years of working experience in the hospitality industry.                                               
  • Passionate about service.
  • High level of integrity.
  • Proactive, dynamic, flexible and professional attitude.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Creative and innovative skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet multiple deadlines.
  • A keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent written and communication skills in both English and French languages. A third language would be a definite advantage.
  • Willingness to work during odd hours, weekends as well as on Public Holidays.
  • Valid Food Handlers’ Certificate.
  • A clean certificate of character is a must.
