Within the commercial team, be responsible and accountable for formulating, developing and executing a multi-platform marketing & communication plan inter alia :- ― Result-driven ― In line with corporate and brand direction ― Reflecting local priorities ― Based on market intelligence & surveys

 

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Qualifications required to fulfil the role

Marketing or Communication master degree

Specialised certifications or qualifications in Merchandising, Digital and/or Market Research highly advantageous

• Specific Work Experience, Knowledge and Skills required to fulfil the role

Relevant experience 5yrs+ ideally in Marketing, Communication or Brand Management

Solid understanding of communication, marketing, digital marketing, advertising & PR principles

Excellent copywriter

Market intelligence and Go-to-Market strategy development experience

Previous exposure to international partners or brands and to use pre-existing marketing material and customise for local market

Experience with construction industry would be anadvantage

Action orientated. Ability to use own initiative to progress work.

Highly organised, analytical and inquisitive, with attention to detail

Assertive, well spoken with excellent verbal and written communication skills in French, English and Creole

Team player, Good interpersonal skills, Ability to develop good working relationships internally and externally

Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks effectively, plans well so deadlines are met, and quality output is maintained, with optimised resources

Numeracy and analytical skills. Ability to analyze and interpret relevant financial data

Highly creative and full of ideas

Resilient, able to work under pressure, accepting criticism and dealing calmly and effectively with his/her stress situations

Key Accountabilities

Marketing & Communication (external)

Market intelligence and market surveys, Go-to-Market strategy development

Formulate and implement marketing strategy

Deliver specific marketing campaigns for each brand, in co-operation with sales team to increase engagement and product knowledge among target markets

Conceptualise and deliver high-quality marketing collateral, provide Marketing support on product, pricing, promotion, communication etc

Ensure the most effective channels and tactics are used within stand-alone and on-going communications

Continuously measure the effectiveness of all marketing and communications campaigns against ROI and specific KPI’s and make changes where appropriate

Achieve marketing objectives in line with LRP & Budget

In charge of product launches, customer and brand events

In charge of digital marketing initiatives and social media platforms

Develop merchandising, roadshows, trainings

Press relations

Manages vendor and consultant relationships including metrics and reporting

o Branding

Actively participate in the formulation of brand plan

Implement brand plan in line with overall brand positioning to ensure consistency and amplification of messaging

Ensure adherence to graphic charter, acts as brand liaison to the organisation to ensure consistent brand voice, vision, and aesthetic are achieved

o Sustainability & Corporate social initiatives

Contribute to Sustainability & Corporate social initiatives

o Strategy & Leadership

Participate in the commercial strategy to advance the company’s vision, mission and objectives as well as to promote revenue, profitability and growth

Formal & informal meetings with Senior Management

Create and lead according to the culture and values of Saint-Gobain

Create an environment built on trust, open and transparent communication, innovation and pro-active behaviours

o Corporate Governance

Drive adherence and compliance to all legislative requirements, Principles of Conduct & Action, Corporate Governance and Internal Control Reference Framework

All such duties and/or activities assigned by Management / Board as and when required.
