Qualification: Holder of a diploma/degree in human resource management or an equivalent qualification
Experience: Candidates must have:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;

- Financial awareness and creative approach to problem solving;
- Ability to think logically and to make quick decisions;
- IT skills;
- An understanding of the transport sector;

- Be conversant with human resource practices, related legislations etc.
Responsibilities: Responsible for the management of the human resource department of the company and reporting to the Managing Director/CEO
Duties
- Be responsible for the management and administration of the HR dept; including payroll, employee relations, recruitment; etc.;
- To advise on matters pertaining to human resource;
- Participate in collective bargaining meetings and meetings and negotiations with trade unions, keeping abreast of new labour legislation and regulations;
- Ensure compliance with prevailing labour legislations;
- To attend court, tribunal, mediation meetings, labour office in relation human resource matters;
- Provide guidance and supervision to staff;
- Administration of discipline and to attend disciplinary committees;
- Responsible for recruitment, wages and salaries administration, welfare etc.;
- Promote good employer-employee relations and resolve grievances through counselling and mediation;
- Oversee the health and safety department;
- To be conversant and well versed in the recruitment and management of foreign workers;
- Prepare monthly and yearly reports on the activities of the human resource department for submission to the Managing Director/CEO;
- Oversee lodging and accomodation of foreign workers and to ensure that same are in compliance with the occupational Safety and Health (Employees Lodging Accomodation) Regulations 2011;
- Your normal working week shall consist of 40 hours of work to be completed in six days from Monday to Saturday;
- To be able to work under pressure and meet tight schedules and expected to work outside normal hours as and when required; and
- Perform any other cognate duties as may be assigned in relation to the post of Human Resource Manager
