As an HR Officer at N-G Group, you will play a crucial role in supporting our human resources department with a range of functions, including recruitment, on boarding, employee relations, and performance management.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the recruitment process, including crafting job descriptions, posting job ads, screening resumes, conducting initial phone screenings, and scheduling interviews.
  • Facilitate new employee onboarding and orientation sessions to ensure employees are successfully integrated into the company.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resources files and records in the HRIS system.
  • Assist in the implementation and administration of HR policies and procedures.
  • Provide support in handling employee relations issues, such as conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Support the HR Manager in organizing training and development initiatives.
  • Administer benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
  • Handle payroll processing tasks, if applicable, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial and legal standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of HR reports and presentations for management review.
  • Participate in special projects and continuously seek ways to improve HR processes and practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an HR Officer, HR Assistant, or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of HR functions and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient with HR software (e.g., HRPTA, Sicorax) and MS Office (especially Excel).
  • Knowledge of labour legislation and payroll processes.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Preferred:

  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is an asset.
  • Experience in a construction industry and expat management

Work Environment:

  • This position typically works in an office environment but may require occasional travel to different company sites or for professional development opportunities.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time.
  • Occasionally required to move around the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
