GARDENER

To ensure that all plants in designated area are well maintained in accordance with hotel standards

To maintain the plants in the hotel nursery, front and back of house areas and hotel grounds in     accordance with departmental procedures.

2. To ensure that the nursery and all working areas around the hotel are kept clean.

3. To clean and maintain the nursery and to ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of gardening      equipment, to report any defects to the Garden Supervisor and to follow up on any requested          repairs.

4. To remove rubbish from the nursery and hotel grounds.

5. To control the stock of plants in the nursery in accordance with departmental procedure, and to        report request for additional plants to the Garden Supervisor.

6. Coral removal from the beach and beach cleaning.

7. To ensure that adequate pesticide are used as the Occupational and Safety Act for the up                keeping of the plants and the gardens.

8. To perform fogging as and when required – mosquito control. Garden Supervisor

9. To assist Pool Attendant if required.

10. To ensure that gardens of the resort are kept free of rubbish and dead leaves/plants.

11. Any additional duty as directed by the supervisor or Chief Engineer.
