Electrician / Technician

Performs the full range of operation and maintenance; to include but not limited to; scheduled and unscheduled; installations, decommissioning, inspections, analysis, troubleshooting and repairs. Experience in uninterruptible power supply UPS and Generator sets will be an advantage.

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and perform preventive maintenance on uninterruptible power supply UPS and generators.
• Install, modify and upgrade new and existing electrical systems, fixtures and other related electrical equipment in compliance with national electrical codes.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repair of uninterruptible power supply equipment including the servicing and replacement of batteries and other battery power sources.
• Perform thermal imaging of electrical equipment, interpret results, create reports and repair problems.
• Review and update program documentation, and engineering drawings to facilitate coordination of maintenance efforts.
• Provide on the job training for new and other skilled trades positions.
• Communicate with customers as needed to make warranty, service/repair, maintenance and other recommendations.
• Ensure that all actions are considerate and compliant with the quality standards, health and safety standards and Company standards.
• Conduct self in a manner, which maintains and enhances working relationship with customer and where possible, capitalise on any networking opportunities to promote the Company and its services.
• Complete all paperwork such as time sheets and expense claims in a timely and accurate manner.
• Carry out on-call responsibilities on a rota basis.
• Work overtime as needed.
