JOB SUMMARY
The Driver’s duties include transportation of team members, departures, Airport transfers and proper maintenance of his/her vehicle while also ensuring safe driving at all times.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Guest Satisfaction:
• To report for duty as per the rota, clean and tidy wearing the correct attire and name badge
• To observe all company rules and regulations as regards to attitude, behavior, health, safety
and security
• To perform any others duties as may be assigned by the Head Concierge.
• To inform management about guest’s arrival and departure
• Assist other department when required
• To ensure all customers’ requests are handle quickly and efficiently.
• To activate a quick response to a guest problem, and then follow up to ensure the guest is
satisfied with the end result.
• To set an example at all time within the department regarding deportment, attitude and
professionalism.
• Help guest with restaurant reservations outside and inside the resort
• Arrange tour / excursions for guest / car hire
• Ensure enough beach towels stock at lower reception and monitor it
• Ensure that lobby area, luggage room, departure lounge, entrance, furniture and equipment
are always kept clean and neat at all times
• Deliver luggage, message, parcel in a timely manner
• Drive, maintain club car according to hotel policy
• Contact the Shift Leader/ Transport Coordinator for the daily planning.
• Be sure to listen properly and take well the notes.
• Write down all notes in the driver’s book.
• At the end of your working day report to the Shift Leader or Transport Coordinator all duties
performed and also any other duties pending.
• Driver is fully in charge of the hotel Vehicle when taking on duty.
Excursions / Site Seeing / Restaurants
• Drivers will also be called to bring VIP guests to different places and do other duties such as:
Restaurants, Excursions/Shopping, Site Seeing.
• Drivers should have a general knowledge of different places of the Island and have also a little
knowledge of history and should present all facilities of the hotels (Restaurant, Bar, Fitness).
• Drivers should be able to answer to the guest as maximum as possible on a site seeing tour.
• Driver should be fully at the disposability of the guest.
2. Administrative Performance:
• To be prudent and financially responsible with company funds. When necessary ensure that
budget guidelines are met and company financial policies adhered to.
• To be aware of the cost implication of any decisions within the work place.
• To be actively involved with the recycling of paper materials within the work place.
• Report to Front Of House any irregularities related to Limousine and club car
• Ensure Limousine is clean and tidy at all time.
3. Environmental Awareness:
• To comply with all company and local laws regarding, Fire, Health and safety procedure.
• To participate in any training sessions of the aforementioned.
• To report and follow up any defects with equipment within the work environment.
• To ensure all fire entrances and stairways are clean tidy and assessable.
Driver must check:
The cleanliness of the car inside & outside.
• The spare wheel & tools
• Fuel & Oil
• Mileage and time of servicing.
• Any defection or problems report immediately to Shift Leader/Transport Coordinator
• Record mileage each time moving out of the hotel premises.
• Mutual check should be done on the Vehicle when handling over with the night driver.
• Safe driving.
EXPERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
2 years of experience in a similar position is necessary in a 5 star hotel
