The Lux Collective is hiring for the position of DEMI CHEF DE PARTIE based at SALT OF PALMAR, MAURITIUS.

 

The incumbent will be responsible to: 

  • Actively participate in the setting-up and preparation of food items.  
  • Ensure high standards of quality service are delivered to Guests at all times.    
  • Actively support hygiene and HACCP practices. 
  • Follow the resort's brand standards food specifications with high level of presentation of dishes. 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least a School Certificate or equivalent qualifications.        
  • National Certificate level 3 or equivalent qualifications.   
  • Formal culinary training from a recognised institution will be an advantage. 

PREVIOUS PERFORMANCE

  • A minimum of 5 years of working experience preferably in the hospitality industry.      
  • A minimum of 3 years of working experience in the position as Cook in a 5-star resort. 

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • High levels of integrity.
  • Passionate about service.
  • Creative and innovative.
  • Passionate culinarian with a great sense of presentation.  
  • Strong ability to work as a team player.
  • Good communication skills in both English and French languages.
  • Valid Food Handlers’ Certificate.
  • Willingness to work during odd hours, weekends and public holidays.
  • A clean certificate of character is a must.
