Leal & Co Ltd is hiring a Costing Officer for its Finance department.
MAIN FUNCTION:
- Perform efficient and timely costing of vehicles.
- Monitor the daily activities of costing clerks to ensure that Parts costing is performed as per the required standard.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Liaise with Forwarding Agents and Customs Brokers to ensure that consignments are cleared within the shortest delay.
- Follow up of invoices and other requirements from concerned departments for efficient processing of costing.
- Proper monitoring of payment for all landing and clearing charges.
- Ensure that costing of parts is performed as per established guidelines and inform the Parts department upon completion of costing.
- Close monitoring of overseas and local creditors.
- Liaise with insurance agents for damaged parts and ensure timely processing of claims.
- Update the daily market exchange rate on the DMS.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Higher School Certificate with Accounting
- 2 years’ experience in a similar position
COMPETENCIES & SKILLS:
- Good communication skills
- Excellent analytical skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Computer literate
- Ability to work under minimum supervision
