Accounts Receivable Clerk and Data Capture Operator

Adecco is an International HR and Consultancy firm. Our client, an Energy Service Company with an operational focus in Africa provides reliable, clean and renewable on-grid and off grid power delivery solutions, is looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk and Data Capture Operator.

 

Reporting to the Senior/Accountant, the successful candidate will be responsible for accurate processing of accounts receivable.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, verify, and process invoices and credit notes on the system
  • Build solid relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure aged debt remains within agreed targets
  • Proactively resolve queries relating to accounts receivable items to avoid payment delay
  • Ensure cash received from clients is correctly recorded
  • Maintain and reconcile the debtors ledger to the general ledger
  • To assist with the preparation of cash forecasts
  • Prepare management reports on a regular basis as requested
  • Provide cover to Accounts Payable in the event of absenc

Qualifications:

  • Partly Qualified ACCA or completed CAT
  • At least 1-2 years’ work experience
  • Audit experience in a recognized company and experience in the construction industry would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of Mauritian laws and regulations surrounding taxes (VAT, TDS, Corporate Tax)

Candidate Profile:

  • Previous experience with an ERP system would be advantageous
  • Be able to meet strict deadlines and work under pressure
  • Working knowledge of the full Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Power Point) to at least intermediate/advance stage
  • Detail oriented person with a good business understanding
  • Keen to continuously learn, develop and improve professionally and personally
