An Accounts Clerk is a professional who is responsible for maintaining financial records, running reports, and recording a wide range of transactions.
Job Description
- Records accounting data in an accurate and timely manner
- Prepares summary reports of accounting activity.
- Provides support to senior accounting staff.
- Reconciles bank accounts, company general ledgers, and other similar items
- Ensures that company accounting policies are compliant with regulations and accounting standards
- Assist in the preparation of cost control reports on a daily and monthly basis.
- Assist in conducting monthly inventories with other accounting staffs.
- Assist in the daily reconciliation of revenues.
- Assist the Chief Accountant in month end accounts.
- To carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned
Accounting Clerk Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years previous experience
- H.S.C is a must + diploma in Accounting/ACCA level 1 would be an advantage
- Experience with accounting software
- Detail-oriented
- Strong understanding of accounting terms
- Proficient with Sage Accounting would be an advantage
