3.0 Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

 

Design: Develop plans and specifications for utility systems, considering factors such as capacity, efficiency, safety and environmental impact.

 

Installation and Commissioning: Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of utility systems, ensuring compliance with design specifications and regulatory requirements.

 

Maintenance and Repairs: Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure the ongoing reliability and performance of utility systems. Troubleshoot and diagnose issues and coordinate repairs as needed.

 

Optimization: Identify opportunities for improving the efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of utility systems through upgrades, process improvements, or technology advancements.

 

Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of relevant regulations, codes, and standards governing utility systems. Ensure that systems meet regulatory requirements and maintain necessary permits and certifications.

 

Safety: Prioritize safety in all aspects of utility system operations. Implement safety protocols, conduct risk assessments and provide training to personnel on safe operating procedures.

 

Project Management: Manage utility projects from conception to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

 

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of utility system operations, maintenance activities and performance metrics. Prepare reports for management, regulatory authorities and other stakeholders as required.

 

Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction. Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance the effectiveness of utility systems.

 

4.0 Qualifications:

 

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Civil Engineering.

 

  • Experience in the design, installation and maintenance of utility systems will be an advantage.
  • Technical knowledge of utility system components and processes such as boilers, air compressors, pumps, electric motors, flowmeters, etc…
  • Analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Project management experience, including budgeting, scheduling and resource management.
