Provide technical support to Artisans of Beachcomber Boutiques and Beachcomber Head Office, and to Artisans in Boutiques of Beachcomber hotels in Mauritius, covering the entire IT infrastructure (network, systems, applications etc..).
Main responsibilities:
•Provide technical support to Artisans of Beachcomber Boutiques and Beachcomber Head Office, and to Artisans in Boutiques of Beachcomber hotels in Mauritius, covering the entire IT infrastructure (network, systems, applications etc..).
•Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve incidents (repair or replace parts, debugging etc.).
•Set up and configure computer hardware, operating systems and applications and provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment.
•Monitor and manage the maintenance of computer systems and conduct routine and/or preventive maintenance.
•Manage User Accounts on various IT systems including Active Directory.
•Perform any technical and administration related tasks, such as maintaining a Computer registry and logs of repairs and fixes and a maintenance schedule.
•Perform backups and restoration of data when required.
•Upgrade/repair hardware, including printers, printer management software, scanners and projectors.
Qualifications and profile:
•Recognised Degree in Information Technology or any other IT related field or at least 3 years’ experience at IT Technician level, in lieu of a Degree.•Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
•Highly focused and goal driven and ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
•Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
•Up to date knowledge of IT applications and systems.
•Experience in the hospitality or retail sector and in working with POS system and/or ticketing system will constitute an advantage.
•Ability to work effectively either alone or as part of a team.
•Holder of a valid driver’s licence.
