The Spa Receptionist is responsible for ensuring that the highest levels of customer service is achieved, and that all Spa standards are met and maintained. The Spa Receptionist serves as the main point of contact for all spa guests.

 

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for greeting each and every guest upon arrival.
  • Ensure health forms are filled upon guest arrival at the spa.
  • Provide each guest with a locker and tour of the facilities.
  • Process guests' check out, calculate charges and receive payments.
  • Promptly and courteously attend to telephone calls and emails.
  • Provide detailed information about all treatments & services offered.
  • Ensure guest special requests are efficiently completed.
  • Competent working with minimal supervision.
  • Other related duties as assigned by the Spa supervisor.
  • Ensuring that all spa treatments are performed in a safe manner, by following established procedures and guidelines
  • Explaining spa services and products to customers in order to help them make informed decisions about their treatments
  • Processing payments by accepting credit cards from customers or collecting cash from them at the time of service.
  • Providing customers with towels and other items during their spa visit
  • Suggesting products to use at home to maintain results after leaving the spa
  • Helping clients relax by providing them with beverages during treatments or in between services
  •  Ensure there are sufficient stocks of laundry and retail products at all times.
  • Proactive positive attitude and ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Being aware of all sales outlets within the establishment and trying at all times to promote these to guests.
  • Ensure the reception area is clean and tidy at all times and well stocked.
  • Ensure relaxation room, pre-treatment room, changing and thermal facilities are kept clean, tidy and fully stocked.
  • Ensure that all bookings are confirmed and booked in such a way to maximise revenue.
  • Inform therapist, hairdressers and beauticians about customer appointments and requirements.
  • Processing bookings and cancellations, and managing appointment schedules.
  • Assisting with marketing and sales by providing customers with information on promotions and new products and services.
  • Performing administrative tasks such as filing, updating records, and logging transactions.
  • Any other cognate duties.
