Sales Representative - Modern Trade

 

Responsibilities  

  • Customer Relationship:
  • Provide outstanding customer service and ensure that all customers are being visited as per scheduled route
  • Follow-up on deliveries returns and refunds
  • Responsible for focusing on the acquisition and retention of clients
  • Account Management:
  • Manage client portfolio: monitor sales figures per Brand on a yearly and monthly basis, identify client’s needs
  • Ensure listing of actual and new item lines within product portfolio
  • Monitor debtors, credit terms and limits within a sound risk assessment.
  • Plan, organize, implement end-of-month and one-offs promotions followed by appropriate debrief.
  • Respect all sales procedures and processes as set by the management
  • Maintain profitability by using expenses efficiently and monitoring expenses (discount, advertising, vehicle and petrol usage)
  • Secondary Responsibilities:
  • Report market activity to management
  • Demonstrate team spirit and commitment towards company objectives, team members including Trade Marketers, merchandisers and any other stakeholders in the selling process

Education/Competence

  • HSC or Diploma in Commercial
  • At least 3 years’ experience in similar position
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Develop outstanding Relationship with Customer for partnerships
  • Ability to work Independent as well as within a team.
  • Be analytical & solution-driven
