The Sales and Marketing Manager is responsible to lead an effective sales and marketing strategy to propel the revenue growth of (1) Tamarina Beach Club Hotel (2) Tamarina Golf Club and (3) Group events mainly, and for Medine Group in general as and when required.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement sales strategies to achieve constant improvements in business activities to generate successful revenue streams.

• Develop clear-cut sales strategies through review of competitive data, demand analysis and mix management.

• Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales and projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products.

• Produce weekly/monthly sales reports v/s sales forecasts and adjust sales activity as required. • Ensure that all sales related activities support customer satisfaction, retention and new business development goals.

• Assist in developing pricing strategies, balancing firm objectives and overall customer satisfaction.

• Increase sales volume, product mix and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.

• Seek out and target new customers and new sales opportunities, initiate action plan to approach and secure new business.

• Coordinate and drive sales operations with all other departments/divisions. • Define budgets, prepare business development plans, and strategically implementing innovative tactics to develop the overall brand and penetrate the market.

• Participate in trade shows and relevant networking events, build relationships with key partners and maximize awareness of competitor market activities.

Prepare and present the Marketing Strategy and produce the annual Marketing Plan.

• Coordinate and supervise the implementation of marketing plans for existing and new products / brands.

• Plan, initiate and organise the marketing activities for assigned Company products and events in order to build strong brand awareness, maximise sales and increase target market share

• Develop long and short-term business and marketing plans for products under assigned responsibility to meet market share and profit objectives.

• Work in close collaboration with the group communication team for all marketing communication aspects, with a reporting dotted line to the Chief Communications & Sustainability Officer.

• Develop and implement a multi-channel marketing and promotional plan with specific periods that complements with each business unit’s strategy.

• Contribute to the maximisation of business opportunities through appropriate commercial initiatives.

• Measure the effectiveness of marketing, advertising, and communications programs and strategies.

• Identify priority categories and deals and ensure that these are communicated effectively through all relevant marketing channels.

• Plan and oversee the implementation of social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification. 

• Oversee the production of promotional and sponsorship/partner materials.

• Collect and analyze data on customer demographics, preferences, needs to identify potential markets and factors affecting product demand.

• Gather data on competitors, monitor industry statistics and follow trends to keep abreast with commercial opportunities.

• Focus on building brand loyalty through new campaigns including but not limited to: paid social, email, loyalty programs, Influencer outreach, Social media, PR, Ambassadors and traditional paid media, working cross functionally.

• Ensure the development and implementation of launch and tactical marketing plans that are in line with the local business strategy and meet agreed budget.

• Design market research and conduct data analysis to assess potential of certain products, and recommend action plans.

• Conduct competitive environment analysis in order to prepare counter plans for marketing the products and achieving targets

• Responsible for the control of the sales and marketing budget and report weekly to the General Manager for Sports & Hospitality through business reviews.

• Identify campaign costs and allocate budgets to each action/program.

• Monitor profitability and drive strategies to meet sales targets.

• Deal with employee matters; such as interviewing potential staff, conducting appraisals and performance reviews.

• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

• Maintain and promote a positive team work environment with effective and clear communication.

• Establish performance goals for all sales department employees, and monitor performance on a continual basis.

• Handle discipline and grievance procedures.

• Provide leadership, guidance and counselling to team.

• Perform any other cognate duties as may be necessary in the circumstances and/or required by the employer.

Qualifications & Skills:

· Have a minimum of 10 years working experience in Sales and Marketing field.

• Hold a master’s degree in Marketing Management, any other alternate relevant qualification or equivalent experience.

· Excellent knowledge in strategic planning and execution, contracting, negotiating and management.

· Proven track record of achieving target and driving sales growth in business.

· Possess strong business networks · Understand Events, Groups and F&B operations · Be a positive, passionate and a driven marketing professional able to influence across all levels.

· A proactive marketer, always thinking of new and different ways to do things.

· Possess strong business acumen.

· Complete understanding of digital marketing channels.

· Possess excellent negotiation and communication skills.

· Strong organizational and analytical skills.

· Be highly creative with an ability to propose novel and innovative solutions.

· Adapt quickly and show agile abilities to problem-solving.

· Speak foreign languages and have acute cultural understanding
