Reporting Specialist

JOB SUMMARY

Smag Ltd is seeking a talented and detail-oriented individual to join our accounting department as a Reporting Specialist. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle audit queries, reconciliation tasks, and financial reporting efficiently.

 

Position Overview: As a Reporting Specialist, you will play an important role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. You will be responsible for handling audit queries, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial reports. This position requires a meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. The Specialist should also be adaptable to changes concerning the reporting and collaborate with other departments to find appropriate solutions.

 

Responsibilities:

1. Respond to audit queries and provide necessary documentation and information to auditors in a timely manner.

2. Conduct regular reconciliations of accounts to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.

3. Prepare Financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

4. Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial data and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.

5. Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.

6. Adapt to changes in reports and work towards finding solutions to issues that arise, collaborating with other departments  as neceddary.

7. Stay up to date on relevant accounting regulations and industry best practices.                                                                                   

 Qualifications:

 

  •  Have completed a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related fields/ ACCA level 2 completed.
  • Proven experience in a similar role.
  • Proficient in accounting software (Sage) and MS Excel.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Adaptability and willingness to work collaboratively with other departments to find solutions to issues.
