Our client is recruiting an Internal Auditor

Main objectives of this position

• Conduct risk assessments on the company's internal processes, systems and policies
• Develop and execute internal audit plans that align with the company's objectives
• Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and recommend improvements
• Identify potential areas of risk and make appropriate recommendations
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, laws and regulations
• Communicate audit findings to senior management and the Audit & Risk Committee/Board
• Prepare audit reports and make recommendations for improvements

Qualification & Experience : 

• Minimum ACCA, ACA or CIMA
• At least 5 years of proven experience in Audit with exposure in the financial services sector
• Experience in risk assessment and internal control evaluation
• Mauritius Institute of Professional Accountants (MIPA) in accordance with Section 51 of the Financial Report Act

Skills : 

• Good communicator (verbal and written) with ability to quickly establishes credibility and and simplify the complex data for all stakeholders, pro-actively draw out key issues and develop effective solutions commensurate with the level of risk involved
• Ability to work under pressure
• Strong analytical skills
• Proactive 
• Problem Solving Skills 
• Can-do attitude
