Export Officer (Somatrans Bolloré Logistics Ltd)

An Export Officer in sea export plays an important role in the service profile of the company. Their primary responsibilities are the accurate and efficient transportation of multiple commodities, and the processing and management of shipping documents.

Key Responsibilities

• Request booking forecast , update booking sheet including transhipment cargo.
• Provide export schedule to shipper and daily vessel news to customers.
• Generate payment advise to valid for payment to suppliers.
• Comply with SOLAS requirements and ensure that containers are weighed & VGM process is completed prior delivery to the container terminal.
• Track shipment by email or shipping line website and inform customers.
• To comply with destination countries legislations and fill in appropriate online tracking note for countries where such requirements are applicable.
• Ensure that all jobs are updated with respective expenses prior validation of invoice.
• Update of CFs report.
• Any other cognate duties as may be required.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum HSC
• Computer Literate
• Experience in Sea Export Freight Forwarding would be a definite advantage

• Good communication skills (Fluent in English & French)
• Customer Service Oriented
• Team player
• Can do attitude
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
