Assistant Construction Surveyor

Assist in all quantity surveying activities and follow-up ongoing projects.

Main Duties

• Assist with the estimation of quantity of materials and prepare costing for tenders
• Take off quantities from plans and prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ)
• Perform site visits for job contracts for evaluation of progress of works
• Attend meetings with Contract Managers/Supervisors for progress of work
• Check and measure extra work on sites and price all variations accordingly
• Assist with the preparation of materials requirements for sites
• Advise clients on technical matters
• Liaise with clients, architects and engineers
• Assist with the preparation of all supporting documents for tenders

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Quantity Surveying
• Fully conversant with shop drawings and construction drawings
• Minimum 3 years of proven experience in MEP, preferably gained in a contracting environment

Other Requisites

• Quick response in resolving operational issues
• Able to work within tight deadlines
• Operate with integrity and objectivity at all times
• Holder of a valid driving license
