We are seeking a meticulous and organised Accounts Officer to join our team. If you possess a keen eye for numbers and a passion for maintaining financial integrity, we invite you to apply and become a vital part of our finance team.
Responsibilities
- Prepare Bank reconciliation on a monthly basis and clearing all reconciliation items on timely basis.
- Book bank charges and forex conversion entry on regular basis
- Liaise with Banks for queries e.g Annual reviews, Account Opening etc
- Prepare reconciliation between organisation and Brokers & Partners and correct if necessary, on a timely manner.
- Adjust receipts on internal ‘SaaS’ software along with accounting software.
- Do regular follow-up with Brokers and Partners for long outstanding.
- Calculate monthly commission for salespersons, Brokers and Partners.
- Post all the relevant entries in accounting software on a timely manner.
- Offer efficient and effective financial operations related support and services whenever required.
- Prepare schedules for monthly review and End of year audit.
- Report to Head of Finance and help in other day to day activities.
- Ensure compliance with VAT and TDS on a monthly basis.
Profile
- Proficiency in Accounting software
- Intermediate to advanced level skills in MS Excel, Word & MS Access
- Experience on working GP dynamic will be an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English and French, enabling clear and concise communication.
- Ability to work in a fast-moving environment.
- Proactive approach to problem solving and positive and can-do attitude.
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members and other departments, fostering teamwork and achieving common goals.
- Experience in insurance sector will be an additional edge.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Candidate should have at least ACCA level 1
- Knowledge of International Accounting Standards
- Minimum of 2-3 years if experience in related field
