Assist the Manager in planning, costing, implementation and delivery of key projects related to Workshop, Facilities & Maintenance Management, manage/lead a team in allocating workload and managing the day to day operations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Handle Maintenance & workshop projects (moves, refurbishments & improvements)
- Be responsible for job allocation and job flow in the workshop including job scheduling and labour allocation for day to day operations.
- Ensure proper maintenance of company vehicles to ensure that deliveries are achieved
- Responsible for Fleet Management
- Assist with quoting, project management, materials purchasing and quality checks
- Source contractors for building refurbishments and ensuring work is completed to standard and within the budget
- Manage all hard and soft services including cleaning contracts, security and mechanical/electrical/building maintenance
- Undertake Mechanical services repair and renewal management
- Ensure the Company vehicles are fully in line with Road traffic Act and well presentable
- Comply with Statutory requirement testing
- Comply with Health & safety and Fire Safety procedures
- Liaise with estate Landlords and local authorities
- Recommend purchasing of automation where needed to improve productivity
- Supervise activities of vehicle that goes in and out of the company and maintain proper record
- Oversee the day to day operation of mechanical workshop and report to the Facilities, maintenance and Logistic manager.
- Produce monthly and annual transport statistics and report to review performance
- Handle unplanned circumstances and report to the manager
Experience and Qualifications:
- Holder of a Diploma or Degree in Technical field (Electrical/Mechanical engineer, Electro mechanic)
- Holder of NTC 1 or City & Guild in any of the following field (HVAC/refrigeration system/Electro mechanic) would be an advantage
- 4+ years of experience in similar position
- Strong knowledge of building trades, cleaning procedures and maintenance.
- Well conversant with health and safety regulations and practices.
- Good organizational and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
- Computer literate with capability in email, MS Office and related communication tools.
- Time management skills.
- Private car/van Driving license
- Knowledge of cold storage and ammonia refrigeration
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
