Our client, in the production and distribution sector, is looking for a Digester, Biogas generator, M&E Engineer (Seychelles).
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
Main responsibilities:
- Carry out proper preventive & corrective maintenance to ensure efficient operation of machinery and equipment into WWTP.
- Monitor equipment output & performance by making necessary adjustments to optimize the performance.
- Maintain, repair and operate sludge digester, biogas generator and boiler to maximize efficiency and ensure employee safety at all times
- Work in a responsible and safe way
- Control and ensure that each system performs at its full potential as designed
- Monitor the system
- Calculate the process parameters properly
- Keep system clean
- Check the parameters in the SCADA
- Check the system periodically
- Operate and maintain the digester and the biogas electricity generator
- Know the risks of digester and biogas (ATEX, H2S, anoxic…) and take measures to control and minimize those risks
- Share data of by-products production (biogas, electricity, steam…) with each consumer
- Propose solutions of optimization of use of concerned by-products
- Check and maintenance of equipment
- Check equipment periodically based on defined manual
- Report in case of any maintenance required
- Track the spare parts for all the concerned equipment
- Follow orders of his manager to maximize efficiency at work
- Report incident and problems during working hours to team and manager
- Analyze events and issues
- Solve specific problems during working hours and inform relevant team
- Organize work for subordinates
- Strictly abide to procedures and policies in place
- Contribute to ensure that the working area is maintained in a clean, hygienic and safe condition
- Undertake any other duty as per line management request and operational need
Qualification:
- City & Guilds Advanced Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent certificate.
- Higher National Diploma in Electrical & Mechanical engineering.
- 3-5 years in industrial environment at a similar position.
Candidate profile:
- Strong knowledge on digester and biogas generation from WWTP operations.
- Knowledge of risks linked to digester and biogas generation activities and skills for controlling those risks.
