OBJECTIVE
Our business headquartered in Cape Town, South Africa, focuses on mobile transacting and the development of digital applications, while specialising in integration into retailer’s point-of-sale’s. This posting will be based in Mauritius.

We are looking for a quality driven self-starter to join our QA team. The QA will be responsible for creating an end-to-end test plan; executing the plan and managing all activities in the plan to ensure that all the objectives are met and that the solution works as expected. You will ensure that every phase and feature of the software solution is tested and that any potential issue is identified and fixed before the product goes live. You will be part of a team of Analysts, Developers and DevOps engineers who deliver remarkable solutions to our clients. The current posting will be based in Mauritius

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Functional and Technical Design sessions
• Quality assurance of business and functional requirements specifications
• Extraction of test requirements from a functional/ business/ technical specification.
• Analysis and development of test scenario’s
• Integration, functional and non-functional testing
• Logging and maintaining of defects
• Use of Mobile devices and the security policy to be adhered to.
• Conducting review sessions of test requirements, test scenario and test cases
• Creation and maintenance of test data.
• Execution of test cases in accordance with test plans
• Provide efficient reporting/ feedback to project and test managers
• Maintain relationships with Developers, Business Analysts
• Test User Interface design of software applications
• Coach and support a team of Junior QA Assistant
• Execution of a regression test harness that replicates prior projects
• Development and execution of functional & system tests
• Development and execution of acceptance tests
• Test planning for new feature development
• Development and execution of test cases
• Provide subject matter expert knowledge on Quality Assurance software, tools, and best practices
• Assist in the implementation of the SQA project audit process and toolkit to ensure project compliance with SQA standards and overall deliverable quality
• Assist in the defining the SQA methodology, to include test phases and associated terminology
• Assist in creating the SQA project toolkit (e.g. templates for requirements traceability, test plans, cycles, cases, scripts and standardized reports, such as a root-cause bug report and a test execution progress report), and training project leadership on toolkit practices and deliverables
• Act as a strong advocate for quality in the product development process

REQUIREMENTS
1. Knowledge
• Experience in a Mobile Application Development Environment
• 3+ years of Software Development or Software Quality Assurance experience
• Knowledge of Android, iOS and Windows Mobile application testing
• Experience in working with Jenkins
• Minimum 3 years of experience in software testing and test methodologies
• Financial Services/ payments system testing exposure advantageous
• Experience in defects tracking and reporting skills
• Experience in and knowledge of testing restful webservices
• Automation Experience
• Extensive experience testing database and database centric applications (Data Integrity, Data Quality).
• Experience building complex test harnesses to support large scale testing initiatives
• Extensive knowledge of QA tools, such as Ready! API / SOAP UI, Jira, HPQC and LoadUIJRun or LoadRunner, and methodologies
• Knowledge of application technologies (Database and Application Servers) and issues (scalability, security);
• Expert at SQA methodologies, tools and approaches (black box, white box and automated testing experience);
• Have strong technical skills with the ability to lead the white box testing effort
• Proven track record of delivering high quality products
• Knowledge of Java, J2EE,PHP, JavaScript, HTML, XML, is a bonus

2. Qualifications
• IT/ related Bachelor & degree
• Software Testing Certification (ISEB/ ISTQB)
• Mobile Training Certification
• SQL knowledge
