JOB PURPOSE
The job incumbent will be required to efficiently manage the Hand Held Phones (HHP) department to ensure that repairs are done to the highest standards.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
• Plan, organize, monitor and optimize the operations of Hand Held Phones (HHP) department
• Prioritize and delegate adequate resources to identified tasks/repairs to ensure high level of customer satisfaction
• Ensure that repairs are done to the desired standard
• Be available to discuss and resolve technical issues with other technical staff as necessary
• Ensure that appropriate spare parts are ordered within set deadlines and maintain the minimum required quantities
• Closely monitor the ageing of spare parts and the pass through time of finished products
• Keep abreast of key technical developments and innovations within the industry and encouraging team members to do same
• Act as a technical mentor/coach to the team of technicians
• Ensure that technical and service team members are achieving their daily KPIs
• Identify training needs of subordinate staff and organize relative training accordingly to develop the technical competence of team members
PROFILE
• Candidate must possess at least a Vocational Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent.
• A minimum of 4 years’ experience in this field of activity
• Strong communication, leadership and organizational skills
• Ability to manage and organize a team of technical and service staff
• Able to travel overseas for short periods of time
• Holder of a valid driving license
