The Receptionist is the front liner under the general direction of the Supervisor/ Asst FOH, and within the limits of established hotel policies and procedures, overseas and directs all aspects of the guest relations function to achieve the highest possible guest satisfaction.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Greets and welcome guests courteously upon arrival
- Answering and forwarding of all calls
- Relay and route written and verbal messages
- Check all equipment are in good working conditions and in quantity required
- Ensure cleanliness of the working area
- Perform Check in and handing out keys
- Carry out visits, accompany guest to room
- Keep an accurate room status at all times
- Dealt with payment and credit cards
- Perform room moves and Upgrades
- Checking guests out, preparing bills and taking payment
- Handle cash and foreign currency exchange
- Dealing with special requests from guests, such as ordering taxis, booking theatre trips, or storing valuables and luggage
- Answering questions about facilities in the hotel and the surrounding area
- Prepare birthday list and guest list
- Dealing with any guest complaints or problems
- Inform reporting line for all guest complaints and request by email attach with Guest Incident Report(GIR)
- Forwarding callers to the appropriate extension /department
- To assist the Asst FOH/ FOS with secretarial duties
- Take booking request after office hours
- Assist with customer service inquiries
- Checklist need to be filled in each shift, checked and approved by Supervisor and send on a daily basis to reporting line.
- Ensure the filing of customer bills
- Perform audit on guest bills
- Collect guest preferences
- Upsell hotel facilities
- Run end of day
- Program key cards
- Follow up Alice App requests
- As required or requested by the leader on duty, assist with or accept other responsibilities in the office
- Is responsible for their own cash floats
- Respect policies and procedures in regards appearance, hygiene and sanitation are enforced.
- Attend Training given by reporting line
- Carry out any associated clerical duties as and when required
- Participate in any extra curriculum activities
About You
The desired qualification for this role is at least a School Certificate and a National Certificate level 3 in front office or communication role. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in the same role in an international ultra-luxury resort and must be fluent in written and spoken English and French.
