The Associate – Retail Banking is responsible to develop professional relationships with clients and provide customers of the Bank with an efficient and effective counter service for the processing of personal financial transactions and other services.
The Associate – Retail Banking is responsible to develop professional relationships with clients and provide customers of the Bank with an efficient and effective counter service for the processing of personal financial transactions and other services. Proactively promote all products & services.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assisting customers with processing transactions, such as deposits, withdrawals, or payments, resolving complaints or account discrepancies, and answering questions.
- Informing customers about bank products and services.
- Tracking, recording, reporting, and storing information related to transactions, bank supplies, and customers, ensuring all information is accurate and complete.
- Maintaining and balancing cash drawers and reconciling discrepancies.
- Packaging cash and rolling coins to be stored in drawers or the bank vault.
- Keeping a clean, organized work area and a professional appearance.
- Handling currency, transactions, and confidential information in a responsible manner.
- Using software to track bank information and generate reports.
- To proactively promote and cross sell the banks products and services with the branch setup and identify current and prospective sales opportunities while getting involved in additional marketing activities.
- Ensure that customers’ confidential information is properly protected and only used for official purposes.
- To ensure all KYC, Money Laundering, Fraud prevention and Health & Safety guidelines/requirements are adhered at all times being followed by self and teammates.
- Following all bank financial and security regulations and procedures.
PREREQUISITES:
- Minimum HSC is must or alternatively a degree in Finance or Banking and Finance from a recognized institution.
- Previous working experience with a bank or financial institution would be an advantage.
- Security conscious.
- Sales / target oriented.
- Ability to provide an appropriate level of attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced, process driven environment.
- Ability to work accurately efficiently under pressure & without constant supervision.
- Ability to meet & excel quality standards for services, and assess customer satisfaction.
