An international financial services firm based in Grand Baie has an opportunity available for a VAT Associate to join its growing tax compliance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing client accounts and providing technical VAT support across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant reporting for global operations.

This position is ideal for a detail-oriented, analytical professional who enjoys working with data, numbers, and cross-border tax matters. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Capture, process, and analyse financial data for VAT reporting purposes.

• Prepare and file VAT returns, EC Sales Lists (ECSLs), and Intrastat reports.

• Conduct VAT compliance checks and support audit processes.

• Perform technical VAT research and assist in resolving client and tax authority queries.

• Maintain strong communication and relationships with clients, partners, and relevant authorities.

• Provide quality control for key client accounts and ensure all deliverables meet compliance standards.

Requirements:

• Strong Excel and numerical skills are essential.

• High attention to detail with strong analytical ability.

• Previous experience in VAT, tax, accounting, or financial data processing is advantageous.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong academic track record 

• Fluency in English and French is required

• Organised, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple client deadlines effectively.
