Financial Reporting Specialist is responsible for the preparation and maintenance of accurate and timely financial reports for assigned legal entities in accordance with IFRS and/or local GAAP (UAE, Netherlands, Luxembourg).
Key Responsibilities |
Perform monthly closing activities, reconciliations, and variance analysis for assigned entities under IFRS and/or local GAAP (UAE, Netherlands, and Luxembourg): - Prepare accurate and timely financial reports
- Ensure full compliance with local GAAP, IFRS, and the Group Accounting Manual across jurisdictions.
- Prepare detailed account reconciliations (balance sheet accounts).
- Ensure completeness, accuracy, and proper classification
- Perform review and quality checks
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies or unusual transactions.
- Ad hoc financial analyses

Support Statutory Reporting and Regulatory Compliance: - Prepare statutory financial statements and ensure alignment with local legal requirements.
- Liaise with relevant internal teams and auditors to ensure compliance with jurisdiction-specific regulations.
- Coordinate and submit required documentation and filings in a timely manner.

Support Audit Processes: - Prepare and maintain audit-ready documentation and schedules.
- Act as a key contact for external auditors during interim and year-end audits.
- Address audit queries in a timely and professional manner.
- Implement corrective actions related to audit findings and control gaps.

Contribute to development of SOPs / instructions and process standardization - Assist in documenting and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for recurring reporting tasks.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and inefficiencies
- Support initiatives to standardize reporting formats and processes across entities.

Key Requirements |
Experience: | Minimum 5–8 years of experience in financial reporting, audit, or related fields Experience with shared services or multinational companies is an advantage Experience with a Big 4 audit or advisory firm is an advantage |
Professional skills: | Strong IFRS knowledge, and accounting knowledge, Strong Excel knowledge, Experience with SAP, MSD, and/or HFM is a plus |
