Carpenter

To construct, install, repair, and maintain wooden structures, furniture, and fittings according to specifications, ensuring high-quality workmanship and compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout and materials required.

• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood, plywood, and other materials.

• Construct, install, and repair structures such as doors, windows, partitions, furniture, and frameworks.

• Inspect and replace damaged frameworks or other structures and fixtures.

• Operate hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery safely and efficiently.

• Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards.

• Perform finishing work such as sanding, varnishing, and polishing.

• Collaborate with other construction or maintenance team members.

• Maintain tools, equipment, and work area in good condition.

• Follow company health and safety regulations at all times.

  Qualifications and Experience

  • Certificate or Diploma in Carpentry or equivalent technical training.

  • Proven experience as a Carpenter or in a similar role.

  • Experience in construction, maintenance, or furniture making is an advantage.
