Cluster IT Director

Position Overview

The Cluster IT Director will be responsible for the strategic planning, implementation, security, and overall management of all IT systems and infrastructure across multiple resort properties. This is a senior leadership role, reporting directly to the General Managers, and working in close collaboration with all departments across the resort.

Job duties & responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a long-term IT strategy aligned with the business objectives of each resort.
• Oversee IT budgeting, suppliers contracts, project timelines, and resource allocation.
• Act as a strategic partner to property GMs on digital innovation, transformation, and automation.
• Ensure high availability and performance of all critical systems including PMS, POS, CRM, CCTV, AV, HSIA, HRMS, AGV, etc.
• Lead implementation of upgrades, migrations, and integrations of company platforms.
• Oversee data center operations, backups, disaster recovery plans, and business continuity strategies.
• Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity policies and practices.
• Acts as a data protection officer for the resorts.
• Ensure compliance with local, international, and brand-specific data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR).
• Conduct regular security audits, risk assessments, and penetration tests.
• Manage and mentor the IT team across properties.
• Define SLAs and KPIs for IT service delivery and monitor performance accordingly.
• Promote a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and technical excellence.
• Build strong relationships with third-party suppliers, technology partners, and corporate stakeholders.
• Lead procurement of hardware, software, and services, ensuring ROI and compliance with brand standards.

Profile, Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, with at least 4 years in a cluster or multi-property hospitality role.
• Proven track record managing enterprise systems in a luxury hospitality environment.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco networking, Oracle and SQL databases, Fortinet firewalls, and other hospitality technology products.
• Demonstrated success in managing large IT projects, digital transformation initiatives, and cyber risk mitigation.
• Strategic mindset with operational agility.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and financial oversight.
• High emotional intelligence and ability to work in culturally diverse environments.
