The role of a Production Assistant involves coordinating batch orders, supporting production planning and data analysis, monitoring quality and safety standards, tracking consumables and timekeeping, and ensuring compliance with occupational health and environmental regulations.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Generate and review Batch Orders as per production schedule
- Coordinate with formulation and planning teams to ensure accurate feed production
- Ensure proper sequencing of batches to minimize cross contamination and optimise efficiency
- Fill in Production & Environment Dashboard, and compile production loss data
- Assist Factory Manager in projects deployment, and on Data Analysis
- Perform on floor audit to assist on quality, safety and efficiency of products and processes
- Assist on preparation of Production Plan and communicate same to Production Supervisors
- Identify and track the consumption of production consumables
- Monitor attendance and maintain daily timekeeping records for production personnel
- Ensure that Occupational Safety, Health & Environmental norms, standards, best practices and legislations are strictly adhered by team, contractors and any related stakeholders
Qualification and Profile
- A Diploma (Bacc +2) in Production, Operations or any related field
- Minimum 2 years in a production or manufacturing environment
- Intermediate MS Office exposure
- Values-Driven and People-Centric behavior
- Dynamic, detail-conscious, well organized with high level of confidentiality
- Interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks, handle emergencies
- Reliable, proactive and comfortable working in an industrial environment
