Accountant

The job incumbent shall work in close collaboration with the General Manager and the Group Chief Finance Officer. The role requires the candidate to prepare and analyze the management accounts, prepare budget and business plans, monitor cash flow,

Job Description - Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure all accounting entries are done in line with proper accounting standards.
• Prepare the management and statutory accounts including variance analysis.
• Ensure the reconciliations are in place and no aged items remain unexplained/without an action plan.
• Prepare business plans for new products and market developments.
• Prepare entity level budget and business plans.
• Provides insights to grow the bottom line through analytical review.
• Monitor cash flow and ensure proper financing needs for business continuity.
• Drive improvements to working capital, aged stocks, aged balances and implementing best practices as well as continuous improvements.
• Keep abreast of the prevailing taxation policies in the different jurisdictions (EU/UK/US) the business operates in.

Profile & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting & finance and/or ACCA level 2.
• Result oriented and ability to influence stakeholders.
• Can deal with pressure and move forward in situation of ambiguity.
• Ability to manage multiple situations simultaneously.
• Competency in Microsoft Excel and ability to work/analyze data from multiple sources.
• Analytical mindset and ability to challenge status quo.
• Ability to work as a team player and a finance business partner.

Experience:

• Minimum 8 years in a progressive finance role with analytics, management and financial reporting.
• Prior experience with E-Commerce business would be an advantage.
