IT & Administrative Support Officer
We are seeking a proactive and versatile professional to join our team as an IT & Administrative Support Officer. While acting as the first line of IT support for staff, the successful candidate will provide administrative assistance in line with the requirements of a Management Company licensed by the Financial Services Commission (FSC). This dual role requires strong technical knowledge, organisational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both internal teams and external service providers.
- Serve as the first point of contact for IT issues, providing timely support in person, by phone and remotely.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues across desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
- Ensure smooth day-to-day operation of IT systems and escalate unresolved issues where necessary.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls across platforms such as Microsoft 365, Dropbox, and related applications.
- Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment.
- Maintain and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, and Linksys connectivity.
- Deploy, update, and patch operating systems and software applications.
- Install, configure, and upgrade applications and operating systems.
- Support hardware procurement, inventory, and asset management.
- Diagnose and repair faulty hardware, coordinating replacements when required.
- Administer and monitor security systems and policies, including Bitdefender and related tools, to safeguard company data.
- Ensure compliance with best practices for data security and backup management.
- Support the administration team in tasks related to regulatory compliance, client records, and internal operations.
- Create and update technical documentation, user guides, and staff training materials.
- Provide administrative assistance including filing, correspondence, and other support duties as required.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues on Windows and Microsoft environments.
- Knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and wireless mesh networking.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Dropbox, Bitdefender, and related systems.
- Basic skills in Canva or similar tools for internal design/document preparation.
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical solutions in simple terms.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organisational and documentation abilities.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced regulatory environment.
- Team player with a service-oriented mindset.
- Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1–3 years’ experience in IT support, administration, or similar dual-role functions.
- Experience in the financial services sector or Management Company environment (advantageous but not mandatory).
Reports directly to the Operations Manager, with a dotted line to the IT service provider.
