Lorry Helper

Origin’Est is looking for a helper that supports the Driver and Logistics team in weighing, loading, tallying, delivering, and handling returned products.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

-       Assist in weighing and loading products at the packhouse and meat shop.

-       Verify that all physical goods tally with the invoice/delivery note before departure.

-       Report immediately to the loading team and supervisor any discrepancies and ensure corrections are made to invoices or goods.

-       Accompany the Driver on delivery routes.

-       Assist in unloading products at customer premises.

-       Present invoices for customer acknowledgment (signature/stamp).

-       Help the Driver by answering work-related calls or relaying information from the commercial team.

-       Collect and verify returned products from customers (e.g., damage, excess, or wrong order).

-       Tally returns against the invoice and obtain customer acknowledgment.

-       Record all returns in delivery documentation accurately.

-       Report reasons for returns to the commercial and production teams for corrective action.

-       Report shortages, damages, or returns immediately to the Driver/Supervisor.

-       Strictly comply with company policy: no cash handling.

-       Ensure compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act 2005 and company food safety and handling standards.

-       Perform other related duties as may reasonably be required in line with the scope of the role.
