We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Payroll Specialist to join our HR team. This role goes beyond payroll processing—you will be expected to interpret data, identify trends, and provide insights that drive decision-making and continuous improvement.
The Payroll Officer will join the Human Resources department of Natec Medical Ltd.
Reporting to the HR Lead, your main duties are as follows:
Principal Responsibilities
Payroll Processing
- Ensure the accurate and timely payment of salaries.
- Ensure compliance with all state requirements in relation to payroll.
- Respond and satisfy all staff queries on pay and related matters.
- In conjunction with HR, process all terminations in accordance with state legislation.
- Administration of private medical insurance, pension fund and other employee benefits.
- Ensure salary-packaging benefits are managed in accordance with state legislation and company policy.
- In conjunction with the HR Manager/ HR Lead, ensure the continuous implementation and improvement of payroll policies, procedures and processes.
- Provide advice and make recommendations to ensure payroll best practice and efficient and effective use of the system.
Payroll Administration
- Ensure the integrity of the payroll system at all times.
- Ensure timely communication is done in regards to employee declarations, returns, etc.
- Ensure statement of emoluments are prepared as per legay requirement and communicated to all employees by end of each financial year.
Reporting
- Payroll reporting as required.
- Generate all payroll related reports as per Management requirements.
- Generate and submit all payroll metrics as per set timeline.
HR Administration
- Provide support to HR team.
Education & Experience Requirements
- Diploma or equivalent qualification in Payroll, Accounting, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Solid knowledge of payroll legislation, remuneration benefits, and taxation regulations.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Payroll Officer or in a similar role.
Specialized Skills & Other Requirements
- In-depth understanding of payroll legislation, remuneration benefits, and taxation compliance.
- Strong communication skills, with fluency in both English and French.
- Proficiency in payroll systems.
- Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, and data analysis tools).
- Proven ability to create, maintain, and interpret payroll and workforce reports for management.
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
- Ability to handle and process sensitive and confidential information
- Analytical mindset with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong problem-solving ability and capacity to deliver under tight deadlines
