People Lead (HR Officer)

Assist the People Partner in various human resource functions, including but not limited to recruitment, training, disciplinary management, employee welfare, performance monitoring and payroll management

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design job profiles as and when required
  • Prepare job advert and advertise vacancies through different channels
  • Schedule interviews and send meeting request to interviewers
  • Prepare contracts of employment as per group procedure. Follow up approval process and make job offers as and when requested
  • Register participants both for training and HRDC
  • Organise Induction of all employees in a systematic way
  • Liaise with training institutions to obtain necessary documents for refund
  • Process all HRDC application forms for refund and monitor the amount being spent
  • Ensure that the operational aspects of payroll processing are delivered within deadlines
  • Assist in the compilation of overtime analysis and process approval of overtime on the system in line with the guidance provided by the People Partner
  • Participate in the setting up of welfare programs for employees
  • Propose, organize and coordinate various activities such as fun days, sports days etc and also fundraising
  • Provide information and assistance to staff and supervisors concerning HR matters
  • Conduct the follow-up of the probation evaluation period and confirmation of employees
  • Follow-up of disciplinary cases, from warnings to disciplinary committees
  • Updating regularly organigram 
  • Perform any other cognate duties as required by the job
Candidate Profile:
  • Degree in Human Resources, Social Science or any related field (compulsory)
  • Have at least 2 years’relevant experience in HR Department
  • Knowledge of Vipertex system would be an advantage
  • Very good knowledge of labour laws 
  • Ability to assimilate and analyse information quickly and accurately, to draw conclusions and make recommendations
  • High interpersonal communications skills
  • Flexibility to react to a changing environment
