The Hostess is the first point of contact for guests, responsible for providing a warm and professional welcome. She ensures a smooth seating process, manages reservations, and supports the team in delivering an exceptional dining experience.

 

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests with a friendly and professional demeanor upon arrival.

  • Manage reservations and walk-in guests, ensuring efficient seating arrangements.

  • Escort guests to their tables and present menus when required.

  • Maintain an organized reservation and waiting list system.

  • Coordinate with servers and managers to ensure smooth table turnover.

  • Answer telephone calls, provide information, and take reservations accurately.

  • Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints in a courteous manner.

  • Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the reception/hostess area.

  • Ensure guest satisfaction by regularly checking with them and assisting when needed.

  • Support the service team during busy periods.

 

Qualifications

  • NC3 in Restaurants and Bar or any other equivalent qualifications.
  • Previous experience as a Hostess, Receptionist, or in a customer-facing role (hospitality preferred).
  • Fluent communication skills both in English and French.
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude.
  • Team player with a proactive attitude.
